This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Calleys Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. During the winter highs are regularly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Calleys Lake. Calleys Lake gets very little rain; July is when you get the most rain here while January       is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Man, is there heaps of exciting things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Don't miss out on a tour to Fort Union National Monument if you're here at Calleys Lake, and the Santa Fe Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby.
