The beauty of Calaveras Well is reason enough to stop by. Not much rainfall falls here at Calaveras Well; most of the rain falls throughout August, and the driest month is April. A tremendous spot near Calaveras Well is Pony Canyon, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Fenton Lake. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great globe it would be. Going for a hike along the Redonda Trail

Calaveras Campground is a great campground nearby. Calaveras Well is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. This is a great area for folks who like lakes. Jarosito Trick Tnak is a lake close at hand; Seven Springs Campground is a delightful local campground.
