    If you like lakes and you're in this part of New Mexico you can check out Burton Reservoir. On a magnificent day at Burton Reservoir you can take a hike along the Faulty Trail, and if you get bored of Burton Reservoir you could also go to close by Ridgecrest Reservoir. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Burton Reservoir. A short journey to Clear Water Spring is always worthwhile, and don't miss out on a tour to Petroglyph National Monument if you're  
   here. While you're here at Burton Reservoir you can take a hike along the Embudito Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sandia Peak is relatively near.
Burton Reservoir is a site with many visitors from Albuquerque; Burton Reservoir is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Best Western Inn is a nice spot to camp nearby. The warmest time of the year at Burton Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 90's. For the period of the dark
 
               hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Burton Reservoir dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge East; if you're a golfer then a glorious nearby course is Los Altos Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Travelodge Albuquerque East is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and going for a hike along the Embudo Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Burton Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at K O A Kampgrounds; Miles Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.
Burton Reservoir is frequently a reasonably dried out place; most of the rain falls through August while November is usually the driest month.

Sandia Peak Ski Area is a family area located in the Cibola National Forest approximately 30 minutes from Albuquerque, NM. The Ski Area offers an excellent learning environment for the novice skier and boarder as well as some of the longest cruising terrain available in New Mexico....
Sandia Peak is a pretty easy mountain to ski, not many bone breaking runs here. Good ski area for the whole family....
