There are great sites to discover along the Base Trail; Burro Lake is a great spot to camp, Rocky Mountain RV Park is a great spot. Just can't get enough of Burro Lake. Near Burro Lake you locate the Whiskey Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. At Burro Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Highs throughout       the wintertime are mostly in the 50's while Burro Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 20's. Having a magnificent time in the Sacramento Mountains is simple. You can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Ski Apache, and you'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Wire Lake. It is very dried up here at Burro Lake usually; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while April is typically the driest month. This                  lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Perk Ridge Trail is always a nice adventure; if you need a location to stay Ramada Ruidoso Downs is a nice choice. Burro Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sacramento Mountains.
