    In New Mexico there are many beautiful lakes, Burns Lake is one of them. Burns Lake is located in the San Juan Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Trout Lakes Campground is a tremendous location to camp, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Rio Brazos. Lower Canjilon Lakes Campground is a great campground here, and if you need a spot to stay The Abiquiu Inn is a tremendous choice.
Burns Lake gets very little precipitation; August is when you
 
   get the most rain here while May is generally the driest month. Be careful coming to the San Juan Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Dry warm beds await you at Brazos Lodge & Rentals, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Rio de los Brazos. All the outdoors exciting things near Burns Lake will keep you coming back again and again.
Through the summertime at Burns Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and the nighttime
 
               is a little cooler of course, generally in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Burns Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Red Hill is picturesque and can be distinguished from Burns Lake; Hidden Lake is a glorious lake nearby.
