In New Mexico there are many beautiful lakes, Bradner Reservoir is one of them. Bradner Reservoir is not far at all from Las Vegas, and camping is available at Las Vegas Koa Kampground. This lake is so wonderful. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
If you need a place to stay Plaza Hotel Las Vegas is a good choice, and if you're looking for a magnificent visit, Fort Union National Monument is reasonably near. And that's not all there

| | is to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A great close by hotel is Las Vegas Super 8 Motel, and why not a little side journey to Canada de Cerro Colorado. Just can't get enough of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you fancy a little side trip, try Canon del Agua, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Peterson Reservoir.

at Bradner Dam, and if you come at the right time of year, Pecos River offers some delightful whitewater. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Bradner Reservoir. New Mexico Highlands University Golf Course is a fine golf
course nearby, and camping at Vegas RV and Storage is always a wonderful experience. Not much rainfall falls here at Bradner Reservoir; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
Throughout
the days of summer highs here at Bradner Reservoir get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Bradner Reservoir temperatures dip to the 10's.
