Bonito Lake is ordinarily a relatively dried out spot; August is the month that gets the most rain, and April is when it's the driest. There's some interesting stuff to catch a sight of at Bonito Dam near Bonito Lake; why not head up to Ski Apache and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is located in the wonderful Sacramento Mountains. So many amusing things in the Sacramento Mountains, just phenomenal.       Put some time aside to spend at Fox Spring while you're here at Bonito Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the North Eagle Trail. If the weather is gorgeous, you acquire a splendid vista of Loma Grande from Bonito Lake; there's good hiking along the Crest Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Bonito Lake. Camping is available at Monjeau Campground; dry warm beds await you at Hotel Ruidoso. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Sacramento                  Mountains. Bluefront Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and if you need a place to stay Swiss Chalet Inn is a nice choice. Near Bonito Lake you come across Anan Canyon which is a glorious spot to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bonito Creek, and the Wet Mills Trail offers hiking at its best. Summertime highs at Bonito Lake typically tend to be in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while Bonito Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
