The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Go for a hike on the San Jose Trail, and camping at Nacimiento Campground is always a nice experience. It's always brilliant to pop by Bilterrera Spring, and don't leave Laguna Bonita without first going for a hike along the River Trail. Laguna Bonita gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month is       April. All year is a nice time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you go for the outdoors. San Jose Lakes is a delightful lake close to Laguna Bonita, and a wonderful site to camp here at Laguna Bonita is Clear Creek Campground. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area in the vicinity of Laguna Bonita has to offer. The Abiquiu Inn is a great place to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Rito Anastacio is always a wonderful                  adventure. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Laguna Bonita with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are regularly in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Laguna Bonita. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
