This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Bluewater Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bluewater Campground is a tremendous location for that. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Bluewater Lake. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 40's with temperatures at Bluewater Lake dipping down       into the 10's through winter nights. So much amusing stuff to do in the Zuni Mountains, not sufficient time. Bluewater Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Grants West Camp Ground is a brilliant local campground, and a wonderful place to pop by close by is Las Tusas Valley. All our national parks are glorious spots to have a look at, and El Malpais National Monument is no exception, also Bluewater Dam is worth taking a look at since you're                  here. Bluewater Lake gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and April is the month with the least moisture.
