Blue Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Twining Campground is a wonderful spot to camp, and a glorious nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Eagle Nest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Burnt Ridge Trail is brilliant

| | fun; the slopes of Red River are so inviting noone can resist.
This lake is so wonderful. Blue Lake is a location that is quite arid typically; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. And that's not all you can do here at Blue Lake. If you're dropping by Blue Lake from Taos, you won't be the only one; the Lost Lake Trail offers hiking at its best.

and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's while Blue Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Best Western River's Edge is a delightful place to
get some rest, and what would winter be without some skiing at Angel Fire. That right there is a heap of amusing things already but it goes on, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has it all. Lakes? Sure, Horseshoe Lake is in close proximity,
and one of the main traits of the surroundings of Blue Lake is Lew Wallace Peak.
Blue Lake is right by the Twining Blue Lake Trail, and Italianos Campground is a brilliant campground here.
