If you are in this part of New Mexico make sure to pay a visit to Black Lake. Black Lake is a spot with many visitors from Farmington, and a lovely lake like Tanner Lake is a great place to stop at. Black Lake is pretty waterless ordinarily; October is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is June. This lake is so wonderful. | | 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Black Lake plunge into the 10's. Camping is available at Gallo Campground, and do explore Dog Eye Pond, it's a scenic lake. | |
