It is very arid here at Big Lake mostly; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month of the year is April. For the duration of the long summer days at Big Lake highs are usually in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Big Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are glorious sites to discover along       the Sand Wash Trail, and a beautiful lake like Wire Lake is a splendid location to stop at. Lakes are such calm sites, why not pop by Bog Hole next to Big Lake; Big Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Red Cloud Campground is a tremendous local campground.
