Angel Fire is a great local ski area, and camping is available at Sierra Bonita Cabins and RV Park. That right there is a lot of fun things already but it goes on, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has it all. Not much rainfall falls here at Beaver Ponds; August is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month with the least moisture. Any time is a wonderful time at Beaver Ponds if you fancy the outdoors. A lake       nearby is Bear Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Angel Fire Resort. Summer at Beaver Ponds comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Beaver Ponds tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Cathedral Rock Campground is always a great experience, and if you haven’t been to Fort Union                  National Monument, you ought to schedule some time for it if you're here. You could also go to Mare Lake if you're here at Beaver Ponds; it's nearby, and if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a wonderful choice. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Be careful coming to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again.
