High temperatures at Beatty Lakes throughout the summer are in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Beatty Lakes are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a magnificent location to spend a night or two, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes       of nearby Red River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you need a spot to stay Best Western River's Edge is a splendid choice, and Golden Eagle RV Park is a good local campground. Beatty Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Just can't get enough of Beatty Lakes. Beatty Lakes is right by the Lost Lake Trail, and the Bernal Trail offers hiking at its best. Not far from Beatty Lakes, you'll                  stumble on Lake Aspen which is a pretty lake, and if you came for an overnight stay McCrystal Creek Campground is a glorious place to camp. At Beatty Lakes you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls throughout August; the driest month is January. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
