If you are in Taos county it's always a good idea to stop by Bear Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Baldy Mountain is easily observed from Bear Lake, and close by you locate the Twining Blue Lake Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a great spot to spend a night or two, and Rito Claro is near Bear Lake

| | and is always a bliss to visit. For the duration of the months of summer at Bear Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Bear Lake. Golf Course is a golf course nearby. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains will keep you coming back many times. Gotta ski! Ski Rio is a brilliant spot to do that, and a splendid spot to camp here at Bear Lake
is June Bug Campground. Yeah, come up here to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains for a brilliant time. The slopes of Red River are so inviting nobody can resist, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Number 3 Lift
Trail. Bear Lake is pretty arid mostly; August is the month that gets the most rain while January is generally the driest month. A brilliant nearby hotel is Best Western River's Edge, and a beautiful lake like Baldy Blue Lake
is a nice place to visit. Rio Grande has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and going for a hike on the Lost Lake Trail is always a splendid adventure.
