    Bear Lake is a lake worth visiting. Lake Fork Peak is easy to spot from Bear Lake. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. After a long day outdoors Best Western River's Edge is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and Bear Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Italianos Campground is a great local campground. All through the warmest time of the year at Bear Lake highs are typically in the 80's. Summer night  
   lows plunge down to the 40's. Highs all through the winter are ordinarily in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bear Lake are in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Taos; Red River is a splendid whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Red River is a wonderful local ski area, and at Bear Lake you always meet someone from Taos. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a great choice, and
 
               Waterbird Lake is a delightful lake close by.
It is very dried up here at Bear Lake usually; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture. While you're here at Bear Lake you can take a hike along the Lost Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Bear Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Twining Campground is a perfect location for that. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Bear Lake. Going for a hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Martinez Canyon is a good site to stop by.
The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. On a brilliant day at Bear Lake you can take a hike along the Burnt Ridge Trail; in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Grande.
