You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has to offer. The summit of Aspen Hill can be seen from Bear Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Angel Fire Resort. Bear Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Be careful coming to Bear Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. Bear Lake is a brilliant spot to camp, Cathedral Rock       Campground is a brilliant spot. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a great choice. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Bear Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sierra Bonita Cabins and RV Park. Bear Lake gets very little rain; through August this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Bear Lake, for example Beaver Ponds; if you like skiing,                  you're in luck; Angel Fire is relatively near. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bear Lake; Santa Fe Trail is a splendid local trail, and visiting Fort Union National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Bear Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's, and the night is quite colder of course, frequently in the 40's.
