A journey to Goat Spring will fill your spirit with great feelings, and a nice nearby hotel is Lodge at Cloudcroft. This lake is so wonderful. A great place next to Bear Canyon Lake is Bear Canyon; after a long day outdoors Cloudcroft       Hotel is a glorious location to spend a night or two. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Bear Canyon Lake has it all. Bear Creek flows through this vicinity. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bear Canyon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cool Pines RV Park. The sight of scenic Denny Hill near Bear Canyon Lake is good; lots of people from Alamogordo come here. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Bear Canyon Lake without                  first going for a hike along the Osha Trail. All through the summertime, highs frequently are in the 80's at Bear Canyon Lake.
