     Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Bear Canyon Lake rules! Here at Bear Canyon Lake you can see Denny Hill; Goat Spring is a perfect local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. The fine people of Alamogordo like to hang out nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sacramento Mountains. Camping is available at Cool Pines RV Park, and you're most likely hooked on lakes, Curtis Canyon Dam is one of those nearby.
It is very waterless here at Bear
 
   Canyon Lake usually; August is the month that gets the most rain, and April is when it's the driest. All the outdoors cool things in the Sacramento Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. Bear Canyon is a glorious site to check out close by; Lodge at Cloudcroft is a splendid location to get some rest. Dry warm beds await you at Cloudcroft Hotel; Upper Rio Penasco Site One Dam is a charming site, without doubt worth visiting.

               thing to do around Bear Canyon Lake; Osha Trail is a glorious local trail; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, McEwan Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bear Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Sacramento Mountain Retreat is a delightful location to camp. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Bear Canyon Lake get into the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and night lows at Bear Canyon Lake during the wintertime usually plunge into the 20's.
This lake is located in the wonderful Sacramento Mountains.

The person in the Office said they had just stocked the lake the night before.  When we went fishing that day, we couldn't catch any fish, as a matter of fact there were about 30 other people around the lake, aside from the 8 people in our party fishing at different parts of the lake.  Nobody caught anything during the whole time there.  Very Disappointed.  Bathrooms are really nasty, with graffiti everywhere and trash everywhere.  Very poorly kept campground. ...
