Baker Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and Wagon wheel Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PORTALES is a great choice, and American Family Inn Hillcrest is a good campground nearby. Do have a look at Red Lake in the vicinity of Badger Lake, it's a wonderful lake, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Portales. At Badger Lake
