Atole Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Near Atole Pond you discover the Blanco River Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co. Atole Pond gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is June.

| | painless. Going for a hike on the Leche Creek Trail is always a good adventure. Having a splendid time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains is trouble-free. Best Western Jicarilla Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest, and Navajo River is a great whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Acres Green RV Park is a fine local campground, and from Atole Pond you get a great view of Dulce Mountain.
