Lake Aspen is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Not much rain falls here at Lake Aspen; during August this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Lake Aspen rules! Go for a hike on the Lost Lake Trail, and after a long day outdoors Angel Fire Resort is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. You just can't picture       the amount of outdoors fun things the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has to offer. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Red River. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains is peerless! Golden Eagle RV Park is a good local campground, and magnificent hiking is available along the Bernal Trail. Angel Fire is a fine local ski area. Lakes? Sure, Gravel Pit Lakes is in the vicinity. For the duration of the summertime at Lake                  Aspen temperatures are generally in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Lake Aspen. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Lake Doris, and don't leave Lake Aspen without first going for a hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
