Having a good time at Lake Aspen is easy. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Twining Blue Lake Trail, and why not head up to Red River and strap some skis to your feet. Not much rainfall falls here at Lake Aspen; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is January. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more cool things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. While you're here at       Lake Aspen you can take a hike along the Bernal Trail; if you need a location to stay Angel Fire Resort is a fine choice. If you came for an overnight stay West Lake RV Park is a great place to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Eagle Nest. This lake is so wonderful. Angel Fire is a very popular ski area close by, and since you're here, you could also go to pretty Lake Doris. Lake Aspen is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Hiking                  along the Lost Lake Trail is splendid fun, and camping is available at Golden Eagle RV Park. High temperatures at Lake Aspen through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Aspen are in the 0's.
