Apache Lake is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Apache Lake you can take a hike along the Santa Fe Trail, and you get a good view of Cerro del Amole from here. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Apache Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at       Apache Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. At Apache Lake you don’t see much rainfall; most of the rain falls through July; January on the other hand is the driest. Just can't get enough of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you need a place to stay Angel Fire Resort is a great choice, and the vistas at Fort Union National Monument will blow your mind.
