    Beautiful Antelope Lake has much to offer visitors. And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do in close proximity to Antelope Lake. Ruidoso Downs-Days Inn is a splendid spot to get some rest. Throughout the months of summer at Antelope Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Antelope Lake. Around Antelope Lake you don’t get a  
   lot of rainfall; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest.
Not far from Antelope Lake, you'll discover Shield Lake which is a gorgeous lake, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Capitan Peak Trail. Mountain High RV Park is a glorious campground nearby, and the Summit Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Antelope Lake called the Mitten
 
               Bar Trail, and Kyle Harrison Canyon is another great place to explore close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Cocklebur Lake; you can stay the night at Baca Campground.
