Beautiful Alto Reservoir has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Alto Reservoir is near Alto Lake Dam which is a delightful spot absolutely worth a visit, and you can go for a hike on the Dry Mills Trail. Alto Reservoir is mostly a relatively dehydrated site; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is April. | | a night or two, and don't leave Alto Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Cedar Creek Trail.
High temperatures at Alto Reservoir during the warm days of summer are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are generally in the 50's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Alto Reservoir descend into the 20's. time in the Sacramento Mountains is simple. At Alto Reservoir you can see High Mesa. Alto Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. A great place to stop at close to Alto Reservoir is Coal Mine Canyon, and if you need a location to stay The Lodge at Sierra Blanca is a delightful choice.
