Alto Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Sacramento Mountains. Not much rain falls here at Alto Reservoir; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All year is a tremendous time in the Sacramento Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Take a hike on the Dry Mills Trail, and camping is available at Elk       Run Cabins and RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. Alto Lake Dam has nice water scenery and it's near Alto Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is nice at Ski Apache; a great site is Coal Mine Canyon. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Sacramento Mountains, too nice to be true. Going for a hike along the Wet Mills Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and if you need a site to stay The Lodge at Sierra Blanca is                  a nice choice. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Alto Reservoir; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's while Alto Reservoir night low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. If you came for an overnight stay Recreation Village RV and Mobile Home Park is a delightful site to camp. Lakes are glorious; Eagle Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Alto Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Swiss Chalet Inn is a nice place to spend a night or two; from Alto Reservoir you acquire a nice view of High Mesa. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site.
