If you are traveling by, why not stop by Alkali Lakes. During the warm months at Alkali Lakes highs are typically in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 50's; night lows in the 20's for Alkali Lakes. Visiting Guadalupe Mountains National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. | | also have a look at nearby Indian Water Hole. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Bush Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Alkali Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Spring Campground is a glorious site for that. Alkali Lakes is pretty dehydrated ordinarily; most of the rain falls during August while March is usually the driest month. Alkali Lakes is right by the Marcus Trail, and Alkali Lakes is not the only place nearby, Lost Pond is a nearby lake.
