Acrey Lake is mostly a pretty waterless location; August is the wettest month with most rain, and March is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Acrey Lake without first going for a hike along the Double Trail. Lakes are magnificent; Texas Hill Lake is a lake that's right next door to Acrey Lake. Good hiking is available along the Ussery Trail; South Texas Hill Canyon       is a wonderful spot to spend some time. A perfect close by hotel is Best Western Cavern Inn, and camping at Acrey Lake is magnificent fun, Queen Store Cafe and RV Park is a magnificent local campground. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Acrey Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's.
