Abiquiu Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Abiquiu Reservoir, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's; overnight lows in the 0's for Abiquiu Reservoir. Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. There's always Abiquiu Dam to have a look at right next door to Abiquiu Reservoir, and whitewater

| | paddling is magnificent on Rio Chama. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Abiquiu Inn. Lakes? Sure, Laguna de las Ranas is close by. Abiquiu Reservoir gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls during August, and April meanwhile is the driest month. Laguna Lorenza which is a beautiful lake, and at Abiquiu Reservoir you always meet someone from Espanola. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a good time. If you need a spot to stay The Abiquiu Inn is a
nice choice, and the Puerco Espin Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Los Alamos, Nm is a fine location to get some rest; there's magnificent hiking along the Bancos Loop.
If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Chama; there's some flowing water close by, Canones Creek is a stream you can go to while you're here. Echo Campground is a perfect campground nearby.
Hit the slopes at Pajarito Mountain around here, and great hiking is available along the Ojitas Polvadera Trail.
