This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Sterling Forest is right next door to Woodland Lake, and a scenic lake like McDonalds Ponds is a wonderful location to visit. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Woodland Lake to make out the water at Pompton Dam; if the weather       is good, you can go for a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at Woodland Lake. One of the governing characteristics of the surroundings of Woodland Lake is Packanack Mountain, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Kakiat Trail. Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a great local campground; why not stop at nearby Pequannock River since you're here at Woodland Lake. Get your heart beating on the great                  whitewater of Rockaway River; if you came for an overnight stay Rein Teen Tours is a tremendous spot to camp. Mt. Peter is a magnificent local ski area, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Cannonball Trail. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Woodland Lake. There's whitewater on Pequannock River for all you adrenaline people, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Sunset Valley Golf Course is in close proximity. Places like Pompton Plains are magnificent to go to, and if you need a location to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Wayne is a great choice. Much rainfall falls at Woodland Lake; during August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. You'll locate a striking lake called Crestmere Lake near Woodland Lake. For the duration of the warm months at Woodland Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
