    Woodland Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. A fine close by hotel is Regency House Hotel & Suites; stopping by Gateway National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Woodland Lake really is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. At Woodland Lake you can spot Packanack Mountain, and next to Woodland Lake you find a golf course called Sunset Valley Golf Course. Wellesley Inn Wayne is a  
   nice site to get some rest, and splendid water scenery is available at Pompton Dam close to Woodland Lake.
High temperatures at Woodland Lake through the warm months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 30's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Woodland Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. You ought to undeniably dedicate some time to Pompton Plains if you're here

Pequannock River is a good whitewater spot close to Woodland Lake, and do take a hike on the Cannonball Trail.
Head up to Mt. Peter and strap some skis to your feet, and going for a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Woodland Lake is a wet site that gets a good deal of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. Have a good hiking adventure along the Kakiat Trail.
