Woodland Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. High temperatures at Woodland Lake through the warm months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. at Woodland Lake; a picturesque lake like Valley Lake is a pleasant spot to stop at. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Looking for some flowing water? Try Pequannock River, and if you came to camp Rein Teen Tours is a good location
to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rockaway River, and Pompton Lake is a perfect lake nearby. Woodland Lake is perfect enough
to spend more than a day at, Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a perfect local campground, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Sterling Forest. Pequannock River is a good whitewater spot close to Woodland Lake,
and do take a hike on the Cannonball Trail.
Head up to Mt. Peter and strap some skis to your feet, and going for a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Woodland Lake is a wet
site that gets a good deal of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. Have a good hiking adventure along the Kakiat Trail.
