I love the new fountain that they have added in the lake. Looks great at night. The dining hall needs some serious updating but its still nice for a family reunion. A day on the slopes of Hidden Valley is just what you need, and you can run the rapids of Pequannock River. After a long day outdoors Best Western The Inn At Rockaway is a glorious site to spend a night or two; Oak Ridge Reservoir Dam has splendid water scenery. You'll come across a delightful lake called Mitt Pond near White Rock Lake; why not head up to Mountain Creek and strap some       skis to your feet. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; White Rock Lake has it all. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Rockaway-I 80 (Parsippany Area), and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Bowling Green Golf Club is nearby. Do go to Moosepac Pond in the neighborhood of White Rock Lake, it's a charming lake; a great panorama of delightful Mount Paul is available. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater                  of Rockaway River, and if you came for an overnight stay Camp Nyoda is a nice site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Russia Brook is a stream you can stop by during your stay, and why not camp at Sun Air Lakeside Camp if you're here at White Rock Lake. During the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at White Rock Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at White Rock Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
