Lakes are nice; Barry Lakes is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Wawayanda Lake; a perfect place                  for whitewater paddling is Rockaway River. If you need a location to stay Mountain Creek- Black Creek Sanctuary is a good choice; magnificent water scenery is available at Wawayanda Lake Dam right next door to Wawayanda Lake. This is a wonderful neighborhood for people who like lakes. Laurel Pond is a lake close by, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area right next door to Wawayanda Lake has to offer. A great close by hotel is Mineral Resorts And Spa, and enjoy a round of golf at Spa Executive Nine Golf Course. You can run the rapids of Pequannock River close to Wawayanda Lake, and if you haven’t been to Delaware National Scenic River, you ought to schedule some time for it since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Cannonball Trail.
