The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Wallkill Lake, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while Wallkill Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. From Wallkill Lake you get a pleasant sight of Pochuck Mountain, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Neversink River. Wallkill Lake       is a wet location that gets lots of rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest month is February. There's great hiking along the Peenpack Trail. The snow is glorious at Hidden Valley; get wet paddling on Clove Brook. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mountain Creek, and needless to say, this is a great area for folks who like lakes, Panorama Lake is a lake in the vicinity. Glenwood Lake                  Dam is pretty and it's near Wallkill Lake, and Toye's Recreation is a glorious campground nearby. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. A golf course near Wallkill Lake is Tamaqua Golf Course, and dry warm beds await you at Vernon/Mcafee Days Inn. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Mountain Creek- Black Creek Sanctuary is a perfect choice; why not take a little tour to Quarryville Brook if you're here. This lake is so wonderful.
