and Rockaway River is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lake Vincent that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Horizons is a great location for that, and Stony Hill is
a peak you can spot from Lake Vincent.
For you golfers we recommend nearby Essex County Francis A Byrne Golf Course, and great skiing awaits you at Sterling Forest. Crystal Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and if you
don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pequannock River. Dry warm beds await you at Wilshire Grand.
Lake Vincent is in the vicinity of Verona Lake Dam which is a beautiful site absolutely worth visiting, and Gateway National Recreation Area is a good local destination.
