Going for a hike along the Kakiat Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and a golf course nearby is Essex County Francis A Byrne Golf Course. Lake Vincent is a fine lake near Verona Lake; this is a popular spot for people from New York-Newark-Edison. For the duration of the months of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Verona Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings       highs down to the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Verona Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect site to camp here at Verona Lake is Rein Teen Tours, and if you have the time, Gateway National Recreation Area is a national park worth taking a look at. Hiking along the Cannonball Trail is magnificent fun, and whitewater paddling is good on Pequannock River. This lake is so wonderful.                  Lakes? Sure, Crystal Lake is around here, and camping at Camp Horizons is always a pleasant experience. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Verona Lake. There's some exciting stuff to spot at Verona Lake Dam close to Verona Lake; Rockaway River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. You get a nice view of Stony Hill from Verona Lake; Wilshire Grand Hotel is a good location to get some rest. The slopes of Sterling Forest are so inviting noone can resist; if you need a place to stay Residence Inn By Marriott West Orange is a delightful choice.
