There's so much to do here at Vernon Valley Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tall Timbers Campground is a pleasant location for that; Black Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at. for people who like lakes. Wawayanda Lake is a lake in close proximity; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Pequannock River. There are delightful sites to discover along the Peenpack Trail,
and there are some great whitewater spots on Clove Brook. Very delightful scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Hidden Valley.
