This lake is so wonderful. Near Upper Highland Lake you hit upon the Cannonball Trail which is a great hiking trail, and Lake Wanda is a brilliant lake nearby. Upper Highland Lake is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Camp Nyoda is a pleasant site to camp nearby, and the skiing at Mountain Creek is good. High temperatures at Upper Highland Lake all through the warm months       are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Upper Highland Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Upper Highland Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do next to Upper Highland Lake. This lake is so wonderful.                  Tall Timbers Campground is a great local campground, and if you need a place to stay Mountain Creek- Black Creek Sanctuary is a great choice. A day on the slopes of Hidden Valley is just what you need; the view of Wawayanda Mountain is charming. Upper Highland Lake Dam is a delightful spot close to Upper Highland Lake; Delaware National Scenic River is a good place close by. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great world it would be. A great spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Upper Highland Lake is Pequannock River, and Mineral Resorts And Spa is a perfect site to get some rest. Cherry Ridge Brook flows through this area. Lakes? Sure, Highland Lake is around here.
