So much entertaining stuff next to Upper Highland Lake, simply phenomenal. Drift down the rapids of Pequannock River in a kayak, and Camp Nyoda is a brilliant local campground. A visit to Delaware National Scenic River is recommended; after a long day outdoors Mountain Creek- Black Creek Sanctuary is a nice spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. At Upper Highland Lake       you can catch a sight of Wawayanda Mountain; Spa Executive Nine Golf Course is a glorious golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Tall Timbers Campground since you're here at Upper Highland Lake, also Upper Highland Lake Dam is worth checking out while you're here. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Upper Highland Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter                  nights at Upper Highland Lake are in the 10's. While you're here at Upper Highland Lake you can take a hike along the Cannonball Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Mineral Resorts And Spa. You'll come across a striking lake called Canistear Reservoir near Upper Highland Lake, and swing by Cherry Ridge Brook it's a brilliant spot to stop by. A gorgeous lake like Wawayanda Lake in close proximity to Upper Highland Lake is a splendid place to explore; hey, Gotta ski right? Hidden Valley is a wonderful site to do that. If you come at the right time of year, Clove Brook offers some great whitewater, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mountain Creek. Upper Highland Lake is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout May, and February is the month with the least moisture.
