Rein Teen Tours is a great local campground, and Sterling Forest is a good local ski area. High temperatures at Upper Blauvelt Lake during the warm months are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Upper       Blauvelt Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. And that's not all you can do here at Upper Blauvelt Lake. Go for a hike on the Pine Meadow Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Lower Blauvelt Lake. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Upper Blauvelt Lake has it all. Do have a look at Crystal Lake Dam if you're here at Upper Blauvelt Lake, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Mt. Peter. This                  lake is so wonderful. A fine place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Upper Blauvelt Lake is Ramapo River. Lakes? Sure, Baker Pond is in the vicinity. Preakness Mountain is beautiful and can be distinguished from Upper Blauvelt Lake; for you golfers we recommend close by Packanack Golf Club.
