This lake is so wonderful. Very gorgeous scenery and good skiing is what you get at Shawnee Mountain, and Delaware National Scenic River is a very tremendous place to pop by. All through the months of summer highs here at Turtle Pond get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. Highs during       the wintertime are usually in the 30's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Turtle Pond tend to be in the 10's. Get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Hornbeck's Creek, and Walpack Valley Campground is a delightful campground nearby. Bear Brook Golf Club is a golf course near Turtle Pond, and going for a hike on the Flat Ridge Trail is always a nice adventure. Turtle Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; all through May this                  area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. Turtle Pond is not the only place close by, Shuster Pond is a close by lake, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Pequest River. If you get bored of Turtle Pond, you could also go to close by Mud Pond, and Turtle Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Appalacian Mountain Club is a great place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
