Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a pleasant campground nearby; in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pequannock River. Stay the night at Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club, and Ramada Limited is a perfect place to get some rest. Taylortown Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest       month is February. During the warm days of summer at Taylortown Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 80's; the nighttime is a little chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows at Taylortown Reservoir throughout the wintertime frequently drop into the 10's. Why not go to Lake Valhalla Dam if you're here, and Rockaway River is a pleasant whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There                  is a pleasant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Taylortown Reservoir called the Cannonball Trail; if you're a golfer then a perfect close by course is Sunset Valley Golf Course. Lake Reality is a nearby lake that you could check out. If time allows, Gateway National Recreation Area is a national park worth going to; splendid skiing awaits you at Hidden Valley. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Taylortown Reservoir. If you get bored of Taylortown Reservoir, you could also stop at nearby Lake Valhalla, and after a long day outdoors Red Roof Inn Parsippany (Nyc) is a pleasant site to spend a night or two.
