Sylvan Lake is a lake worth visiting. High temperatures at Sylvan Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Sylvan Lake. Rock Brook flows through this area; a nice nearby hotel is Nassau Inn. I remember watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon among many highlights......Back in the 60's there was a sleep away camp called Camp Farrington.
