If you need a place to stay Regency House Hotel & Suites is a great choice, and golf can be played at Sunset Valley Golf Course. For the period of the summer months at Suntan Lake highs are frequently in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Suntan Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant close by hotel is       Wellesley Inn Wayne; the slopes of Sterling Forest are so inviting nobody can resist. Man, is there heaps of amusing stuff to do close to Suntan Lake. One of the dominant features of the surroundings of Suntan Lake is Federal Hill; if you came to camp Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a pleasant spot to do that. Whitewater paddling is fine on Rockaway River; Suntan Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Rein Teen Tours is a good local campground. While                  you're here at Suntan Lake, you could also check out gorgeous Valley Spring Lake, and don't leave Suntan Lake without first going for a hike along the Kakiat Trail. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great earth it would be. There's great hiking along the Pine Meadow Trail, and Sawmill Pond Dam has delightful water scenery. All the water falling down from the sky makes Suntan Lake a wet place; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. Pequannock River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Cannonball Trail. Beaver Brook flows through this vicinity, and hey, Gotta ski right? Mt. Peter is a great place to do that.
