Sunrise Lake, Morris County, New Jersey     Custom Search User input for Sunrise Lake, Morris County, New Jersey: Lou De Leon: Moving here 5 years ago, this is one of the most beautiful areas around, but is maintained very poorly.The surrounding areas are kept quite well, but it doesn't seem like cleaning the lake our yearly or bi-yearly is a priority.I would like to swim in this lake with my family, but do not feel it is of swimming calibur, and when ever we go there it is usually closed. Maybe you all could see the benefit to this park and invest a little in cleaning the water and the beach area, as there is way too much seaweed in the beach area. Thx for understanding. Throughout the days of summer here at Sunrise Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Sunrise Lake tend to be in the 10's. Sunrise Lake Dam is worth visiting while you're here, and dry warm beds await you at The Bernards Inn. This lake       is so wonderful. India Brook is a fine whitewater spot right next door to Sunrise Lake. Sunrise Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. If you need a place to stay National at Chancery Square is a fine choice, and brilliant skiing awaits you at Mountain Creek. Why not camp at Hi-Hills Camp while you're here at Sunrise Lake, and some of the water nearby flows, like Harmony                  Brook. This place, Sunrise Lake, it simply has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Golf can be played at Roxiticus Golf Club, and Blachleys Hill can be made out from Sunrise Lake. This is a fine region for folks who like lakes. Ledells Pond is a lake in the neighborhood, and if you came for an overnight stay Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a magnificent site to camp. This lake is so wonderful.
