Get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Rockaway River; not far from Spring Lake you'll discover Speedwell Lake which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Hyatt Morristown; an out of the ordinary thing to stop at next to Spring Lake is Pocahontas Dam. Summertime at Spring Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with night lows in the       50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Spring Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. Spring Lake commonly gets a great deal of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. After a long day outdoors Best Western Morristown Inn is a good place to spend a night or two, and Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a delightful                  campground nearby. A splendid location for whitewater paddling close to Spring Lake is India Brook, and next to Spring Lake you find a golf course called Morris County Golf Club. Don't forget to take a great little tour to North Branch Whippany River; you get a nice view of Kemble Mountain from here. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mountain Creek if you're here. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. If you came for an overnight stay Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a great spot to camp.
