Just can't get enough of Smith Pond. Sterling Forest is a great local ski area, and if you came to camp Rein Teen Tours is a delightful       place to do that. If you need a site to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Wayne is a perfect choice; a quick trip to Haycock Brook is beyond doubt a great idea. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Cannonball Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Crystal Lake Dam has great water scenery. Gateway National Recreation Area is one of the destinations close to Smith Pond that are tremendous to go to; the slopes of Mt.                  Peter are so inviting noone can resist. Much rain falls at Smith Pond; May is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Smith Pond is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Baker Camp On Lake Sebago is a magnificent local campground, and there's whitewater on Ramapo River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Smith Pond get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Smith Pond are in the 10's. So many entertaining things to do at Smith Pond, so little time. Don't miss out on a pleasant swamp; Franklin Swamp is right here at Smith Pond, and if you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Sunset Valley Golf Course.
