A wonderful nearby hotel is Courtyard Mahwah; a striking lake like Glasmere Ponds is a tremendous site to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a look at nearby Summit Brook while you're here at Sheppard Pond; going for a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Sheppard Pond       sees pretty high levels of rain; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. Spend the day on the beach at Old Sebago Beach if you're here at Sheppard Pond, and get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Pequannock River. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Sheppard Pond highs are commonly in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with                  highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Sheppard Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Sheraton Mahwah Hotel is a fine choice, and here at Sheppard Pond you can make out Mount Defiance. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Kakiat Trail, and sites like The Bowl are brilliant to take a look at. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great planet it would be. There's so much to do here at Sheppard Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp wabenaki is a great place for that, and the Ramapo Mountains casts its shadow over Sheppard Pond. Swamps are out of the ordinary sites and Bear Swamp right next door to Sheppard Pond is no exception, and everyone close by loves skiing at Mt. Peter. A day at picturesque New Sebago Beach in the vicinity of Sheppard Pond is a glorious thing to do; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Ramapo River. Man, is there a heap of entertaining stuff to do right next door to Sheppard Pond. Take a hike on the Cannonball Trail, and you can stay the night at Baker Camp On Lake Sebago. This lake is so wonderful.
