This lake is so wonderful. One of the best things about Shell Pond is its proximity to Shore Beach; if you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Ocean Acres Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. All the water falling down from       the sky makes Shell Pond a wet site; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year at Shell Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Shell Pond fall into the 10's. Beaches are delightful; and Little Beach near Shell Pond is                  no exception, and do schedule some time to go to Big Cove if you have a chance. Lakes? Sure, Knoll Pond is in the vicinity, and dry warm beds await you at Toms River Red Roof Inn. Don't forget to take a brilliant little visit to Big Flat Creek; Oyster Pond is a good lake close by. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location.
