Shadow Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Shadow Lake Dam is worth stopping at since you're here; camping is available at Kaufman Campgrounds. You'll meet a lot of folks from New York-Newark-Edison here, and Poricy Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Middletown Township Golf Course is always a diversion. Some nearby water includes Nut Swamp Brook; don't miss

Ideal Beach is in the vicinity of Shadow Lake and is a stunning beach to take a look at, and Oyster Point Hotel is a wonderful place to get some rest. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Club Camp. Shadow Lake is a wet site that gets a lot of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through July, and the driest month of the year is February. Summertime highs at Shadow Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's with
night lows in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows at Shadow Lake through the winter usually fall into the 20's. If you're here at Shadow Lake, do take a spree to Blossom Cove, and dry warm beds await you at Molly Pitcher Inn.

A big different from the creek under the parkway bridge....I remember back in the 50's I would go past the lake and see kid's swing from a tree on a rope, and then let go and dive in the water.
