The Conklins Crossing offers hiking at its best, and Schlegel Lake is not the only location close by, Bogert Pond is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you
need a spot to stay Radisson Inn is a pleasant choice; hiking is a popular thing to do around Schlegel Lake; Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail is a tremendous local trail. All the outdoors entertaining stuff right next door to Schlegel
Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. If you haven’t been to Gateway National Recreation Area, you should schedule some time for it if you're here, and enjoy a round of golf at Paramus Golf & Country Club.
Camping is available
at Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds, and tremendous hiking is available along the Sherwood Path. Schlegel Lake gets a large amount of water; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is February.
