Be careful coming to Schlegel Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. The scenery at Woodcliff Lake Dam in close proximity to Schlegel Lake is stunning, and you'll locate a delightful lake called Woodcliff Lake. Schlegel Lake is a location with many visitors from New York-Newark-Edison; delightful hiking is available along the Conklins Crossing. Go for a hike on the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail, and there's whitewater       on Popolopen Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. Schlegel Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not stop at Pine Lake in close proximity to Schlegel Lake; going for a hike on the Sherwood Path is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Trailmark Outdoor Adventures is a brilliant                  campground nearby, and don't forget to take a perfect little trip to Saint Andrews Brook. During the summertime highs here at Schlegel Lake reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; overnight lows at Schlegel Lake during the wintertime ordinarily sink into the 10's. All our national parks are brilliant spots to go to, and Gateway National Recreation Area is no exception; a delightful close by hotel is La Quinta Inn Paramus. Sterling Forest has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff; if you came for an overnight stay Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds is a glorious place to camp. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Schlegel Lake. While you're here at Schlegel Lake you can play some golf at Paramus Golf & Country Club.
