This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Sterling Forest are so inviting nobody can resist; a quick visit to Deepavaal Brook is certainly a delightful idea. Having a splendid time at Roveres Lake is simple. For you golfers we recommend nearby Packanack Golf Club, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mt. Peter. All through the warm months at Roveres Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and the night is quite chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Roveres Lake.
If time allows, Gateway National Recreation Area is a national park worth visiting. There's so much to do here at Roveres Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Horizons is a good place for that. A lake close by is Adams Lake, and do take a hike on the Kakiat Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Pequannock River in a kayak, and a tremendous place to check out close by is Preakness Valley.
