Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club is a pleasant campground nearby. There's whitewater on Pequannock River for all you adrenaline junkies, and what would winter be without some skiing at Hidden Valley. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is splendid here at Lake Ricabear, you can go for a hike along       the Cannonball Trail, and not far from Lake Ricabear you'll stumble on Lake Juliet which is a pretty lake. That right there is loads already, but it keeps on going; Lake Ricabear has it all. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rockaway River, and Days Inn Parsippany is a splendid site to get some rest. The high level of precipitation makes Lake Ricabear a relatively wet location; August is when you get the most rain                  here, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Embassy Suites Parsippany is a great choice, and Green Pond Golf Club is a delightful golf course close by. Why not pop by Lake Juliet Dam while you're here; Camp Ocawasin Lodge is a delightful local campground. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Lake Ricabear get into the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Lake Ricabear fall into the 10's. Lakes?
