Go to Red Rock Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. There's so much to do here at Red Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Dynomite is a brilliant spot for that; let's not forget Assiscong Creek which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Camp Bernie-YMCA is a splendid location to do that, and a lake close by is Echo Lake. Red Rock Lake is a wet site that gets a large amount of

There are some great whitewater spots on Rockaway Creek; if you need a spot to stay Courtyard By Marriott Lebanon is a fine choice. Rockefellows Mills Dam is not far at all from Red Rock Lake, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Heron Glen Golf Course is close at hand. Reserve is rather close to Red Rock Lake. For the duration of the summertime at Red Rock Lake highs are usually in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in
the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Red Rock Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Inn; if you come at the right time of year, Raritan River - South Branch offers some glorious whitewater.

Camp Bernie is able to provide a traditional co-ed Overnight Camp Experience during the summer. Our sessions last for 13 days, and serve children from grades 2 through 10. In addition, we provide 9 weeks of Adventure Day Camp for the local communities, each session lasting from Monday through Friday.
We also offer year round programming consisting of Outdoor Education for school groups, and Group and Family Camping as well. We are avilable for scout troops, college clubs, church retreats and much more. Our camp is able to provide cabin and meeting space for groups of many sizes and interests; and there are always more rustic accomodations available for those that are interested.

I live less than a mile from this place. Me, my brother, and his friend decided to try to fish here. We found an old canoe with a tag on it that said 1855. We drained the water and paddled out with toy shovels. 90% of this lake is about 1 foot deep. Once you get to the dam-looking part it drops to about 7-9. We fished for about a half hour. Didn't catch anything, or even see a fish (the waters clear as day)....Great for fishing, late at night when the bugs are flying on the surface, the trout jump out and get them. Too bad they don't go for your hook. I've caught sunnys trout and large mouth there. Great place that nobody else fishes at; my own little secret spot ha ha.... |

We have stayed at the Fla-Net Campground twice. I find it very peaceful with nice surroundings and a friendly staff. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The restrooms/showers could use an update. I look forward to staying there again.... |
